POSitive is built in our own restaurants
POSitive is developed by a team of restaurants in Phuket and runs in our venues every day: it takes orders, prints receipts, keeps the inventory and counts the money.

Work on POSitive started with a practical problem: orders from our website had to be re-entered into the register by hand. Then it became clear that the register did not know what a dish cost, and that the inventory was kept in a separate spreadsheet that was hard to keep up to date.
For several years our restaurants ran on widely used POS systems, and the same inconveniences came up again and again: dish variants hidden inside modifiers, an awkward list of purchase pack sizes, a separate account for every restaurant, orders that were not saved.
So we built our own system — for the way a venue with its own kitchen works: prep, delivery, staff who speak different languages, and an owner who follows revenue from a phone.
How we work
Features from real work
New features come from tasks that arise in our own venues, not from competitors’ feature lists.
Money is covered by tests
Stock deduction, cost calculation, protection against double payment and two registers working at the same time are covered by automated tests against a real database.
Updates do not break service
A database backup is taken before every change, changes are tested on a copy of production data first, and updates are not released during lunch or dinner service.
What we do not promise yet
What the system does not do yet:
- our own loyalty programme with guest cards;
- integration with accounting software;
- country-specific fiscalisation (built on request);
- franchise-level analytics and multi-brand reporting;
- a guest-facing app.
Some of it is planned, but we are not putting dates on it.
