Connecting online orders

What it takes for a storefront to serve your menu and send orders into the register: key, matching, checks.

Set-up takes a few steps and happens once. After that orders arrive by themselves.

  1. Enable the module “Online orders” in the subscription section.
  2. Create an integration key in Settings → External. The key is shown once — save it and hand it to the storefront developer.
  3. Give the developer the API address and the contract — see For the storefront developer.
  4. Match the items: storefront item codes are linked to register dishes — see Item matching.
  5. Map payment methods: the storefront payment code maps to a venue payment method.
  6. Run a test order: place one on the storefront and confirm it arrives, accepts and prints.

Auto-accept

Orders can be accepted manually (the manager confirms a cooking time) or automatically. Auto-accept helps during a rush, but then nobody checks the address and contents before the kitchen prints — enable it deliberately.

Pausing intake

If the kitchen is overloaded, intake is paused with one switch. The storefront learns immediately and tells the guest that orders are not being taken — instead of accepting one nobody will cook.

Stop-list

The storefront receives the menu with the stop-list already applied. Nothing extra to configure.

What to verify before launch

  • the order arrives in the panel with a sound;
  • contents and modifiers are recognised correctly;
  • the total matches the storefront;
  • the ticket prints at the right station;
  • an order paid online closes with the correct payment method.
