Payment methods
How to add payment methods, link them to accounts, hide the extra ones and match them to website payments.
A payment method is what the cashier sees on the payment screen. An account is where the money goes.
Method settings
- name — short, so that it reads well on the button;
- type — cash, card, non-cash, aggregator;
- account — where the money lands;
- show at the register — extra methods are better hidden, they slow down payment;
- autofill — whether to fill in the full amount due.
Order
Put first what people pay with most often. On the payment screen this saves a second on every receipt — and it shows at peak hour.
Website payments
The website’s payment system codes are linked to the venue’s methods. The system warns you if a link looks contradictory — for example, a QR code leads to a method of the “card” type.
Paying with points
If an external loyalty programme is connected, redeeming points is set up as a separate payment method — and shows in reports as a separate line.
