Working without internet
What the register can do offline, what happens when the connection comes back and why duplicate receipts do not appear.
The internet in Phuket drops out. The register is ready for it.
What works without a connection
- entering an order and sending it to the kitchen (printers on the local network do not need the internet);
- payment and receipt printing;
- opening and closing a shift;
- printing the Z report.
What does not work
- website and aggregator orders — they come from the server;
- today’s reports in the back office are updated with a delay;
- receipts from other registers are not visible until the connection comes back.
How to tell the register is offline
A banner appears on the screen. This is not an error — it is a working mode; keep selling.
What happens when the connection is back
Accumulated sales go to the server by themselves, one after another. You do not need to press anything.
Every sale has its own key, which the register generates at the moment of payment. The server sees the key and understands: this is the same sale, not a new one. So even if the cashier pressed “Pay” several times or the tablet sent the queue twice, there will be one receipt.
Refunding an offline sale
It works. The server will later link the sale and the refund in the right order.
What not to do
Do not restart the tablet “so it syncs” — the queue will go out by itself. If an hour after the connection comes back the receipts have not appeared in the back office, contact support.
