Register settings
Shift mode, cash float, tips, search keyboard, auto-stop, allergens, neighbours, rounding the total.
The “POS” tab is how the register behaves during a shift.
Shift
- mode: one shift per venue (all registers in one) or per employee;
- cash float — the default amount when opening;
- lock — who can open and close;
- the manager sees all shifts — otherwise everyone sees only their own.
Tips
Turning them on and quick percentages. Tips are not part of revenue and are shown on a separate line. In detail: Tips.
Rounding the total
Satang can be removed from the total: down (in the guest’s favour), up or to the nearest. The receipt shows what the guest paid, and the report shows how much the venue gave away over the period.
Search keyboard
A built-in keyboard instead of the system one. The system keyboard covers half the screen, and the search results end up underneath it — on a tablet this is critical.
Auto-stop
A dish goes onto the stop list by itself when a product from its recipe runs out. Works only for products with stock tracking turned on.
Allergens
Showing allergens in the dish card and in the website shop window.
Neighbours
Turns on orders from the neighbouring venue: the neighbour’s dishes become available in an order.
Order sounds
Your own signal for a new order, a guest message and a neighbour’s order; volume and repeating until the card is opened. In a noisy dining room the standard signal gets lost — your own loud one solves the problem better than “looking at the screen more often”.
