How the system suggests what is running short and how to build a list for the supplier.

The screen answers the question “what is running out” before the cook says so in the middle of a shift.

Where the figures come from

The system looks at current balances and at usage over past periods: how much of a product goes per day and how many days it will last. Products with a small reserve rise to the top.

The shopping list

Marked items are collected into a list: what, how much, from which supplier. The list can be kept during the shift — noticed the sauce is running out, added it.

What to keep in mind

• products without stock tracking are not in the suggestions — there is no usage for them;
• recent usage matters more than the average: after holidays the figures are distorted;
• the purchase pack size tells you the real order volume: if the supplier delivers in 10 kg boxes, “3 kg needed” turns into one box.
